What is AT-001?

AT-001 is a proprietary food supplement that supports brain health, cognitive function and immune response. The use of AT-001 is patented for brain health.

How do we know AT-001 works?

In 2009, a hugely significant paper was published by Dr. William R. Markesbery, founding director of the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging at the University of Kentucky, and his colleagues that showed the potential benefit of a diet that included AT-001 and its impact on maintaining brain health.

AT-001 was fed to mice that contained the human genes responsible for Alzheimer’s disease. The observations demonstrated that the brains of the mice fed diets that included AT-001 were far less damaged than those fed a placebo.

Our results are not limited to observations made in animal models of Alzheimer’s disease. In fact, we have successfully completed a Phase I clinical trial in healthy elderly volunteers.

Other biochemical markers, such as those observed in the mouse models of Alzheimer’s, were also altered favorably, showing a stabilization in the plaques and a marked reduction in inflammation.

This led us to launch a much larger Phase II study with AT-001 in healthy human volunteers to both confirm and expand upon our Phase I data. The Phase II trial will be completed by late 2018.
